AO rifle-scopes are equipped with a focusable objective lens to allow for parallax correction at various user-select ranges. To be parallax free, the target must be located at the distance for which the scope is focused.



30/30 reticle.
This pattern can be used to measure distance. Using the 30/30 reticle the fine crosshair lines represent an area 30" across at 4x from 100yds away. If the same target fills only half the crosshair area it means it is 200yds away. Easy to see in dark cover and scrub the 30/30 is a popular reticle for most hunting and shooting situations.



Mil-Dot reticle
A Mil-Dot Reticle can be used for accurate range finding at 10x magnification. There are 11 aiming points for elevation and 11 for windage, which enables the shooter to hold over or hold under or left and right to compensate for long and short range shots and windage respectively.

Illuminated Reticle (IR)
If your Rhino scope is fitted with an electronic reticle, there are 11 degrees of illumination. The rheostat can be located at the top of the eyebell.
